Hoa Thanh district has the area of 82.92 km2, and the population of approximate 144,875 people and is located at the centre adjoining to 5 districts and city in the province. The Northeast adjoins to Duong Minh Chau district, the West adjoins to Tay Ninh City and Chau Thanh. The South and the Southeast adjoin to Ben Cau District and Go Dau District.
The topography is quite even and tends to incline from the North to the South. Soil and climate conditions of Hoa Thanh district are favorable for diversified and varied development of forest trees and other creatures.
The traffic system is convenient to serve the traveling between regions and production areas to make contribution to expand the economic and cultural exchanges with other districts in the province.
There is Vam Co Dong River in the South running through the province with the length of 11 km to transport the goods conveniently thanks to Ben Keo Port located about 300m away from National Highway No. 22B, next to Vam Co Dong river and about 7 km away from the city. In addition, there are Tay Ninh Ditch, Rach Re Street distributed evenly in the district to serve for the agricultural, industrial and domestic demands.
