Area: 237.50 km2, population of approximate 65,589 people. Ben Cau is 30 km away from the centre of Tay Ninh City, about 70 km away from ho Chi Minh City and adjoining to Long An Province, Cambodia, having the border line of 32 km with Moc Bai International Border Gate. Moc Bai International Border Gate is not only the gateway of Tay Ninh Province in developing commercial exchange with Cambodia but also plays an important role in constructing, developing the external economy and becomes the centre for international commercial transactions, implementing the sub-regional cooperation program in the South Vietnam Economic Development Strategy.
Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone only has 03 border gates of Moc Bai International Border Gate and two auxiliary border gates of Phuoc Chi and Long Thuan to serve the economic, cultural exchanges and political, diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia and other countries in ASEAN region in the future; is a part of commercial, tourism and service centre and is the domestic and international traffic clue.
The soil survey on the area of 200 ha at the depth of 1.5-2.5m finds out that there is a big reserves of peat which can meet the demand for material for fertilizer factories in the province.
In the district, Vam Co Dong River is the big water source in the region with the ability to serve the ships with big capacity of up to 2,000 tons. This is the irrigation channel and blood-vessel water traffic way of the province.
