Natural conditions 2.1. Topography The topography is relatively flat, the geography is uniform with good physico-mechanical properties, therefore, it is less costly for construction of the works and very favorable for the development of agriculture, industry, trade, service and infrastructure structure. 2.2. Climate The climate is quite temperate and less impacted by storm, flood, without earthquake, tsunami and other unfavorable climate conditions, therefore, it is very favorable for developing diversified agriculture, especially industrial trees, fruit trees, herbal tree, animal husbandry with large scale. | | | Natural resources | Overview | Tin | | Natural resources | /Style Library/LacViet/CMS2013/Images/newsdefault.jpg | Tay Ninh has 4 main soil groups: gray soil, alum soil, alluvial soil and yellow - red soil | 07/11/2018 6:00 CH | No | Đã ban hành | | 1. Soil Resource Tay Ninh has 4 main soil groups: gray soil, alum soil, alluvial soil and yellow - red soil. - Grey soil group (including 6 types) has the area of 339,833 ha, accounting for about 84.37% of the natural area and distributed on the entire province. This soil type consists of light chemical properties, easy-drainage and suitable with many kinds of trees. - Alum soil group (including 3 types) has the total area of 25,359 ha, accounting for 6.3% of natural area, mainly distributed in districts of Chau Thanh, Go Dau, Trang Bang. - Yellow-red soil group (3 types) accounts for a small percentage, of about 1.6% of the natural area and mainly distributed in districts of Tan Bien and Tan Chau. This soil type can be used for forestry development. - Alluvial soil group (2 types) accounts for 0.44% of natural area and formed due to the alluvial from rivers therefore, it is very suitable for planting rice and crops. - Regarding the land use purposes: + Area of agricultural land: 346,378.6 ha; + Area of non-agricultural land: 57,040.9 ha; + Area of unused land (Including unused delta land, unused hill and mountain land, stone mountain without tree forest): 705.8 ha. 2. Water Resources 2.1. Water Surface: In Tay Ninh province, surface water is mainly from rivers, streams, channels, ditches and Dau Tieng Tay Ninh lake. - Tay Ninh has the topography stretching to North - South direction with two main rivers of Vam Co Dong river and Sai Gon river. - Small rivers and streams started from the province have the features of: in rainy season, water level in rivers and streams raises high and it plays the important role in supplying water for underwater. In dry season, it drains locally. Small rivers and streams maintain their flows all year round thanks to the groundwater regulating. Therefore, the surface water reserves in Tay Ninh is very big and able to supply water for irrigation, transportation of goods by waterway and this is also a strength for economic development of Tay Ninh province. 2.2. Underground water: it exists two main forms: holes in Cenozoic sediments and cracks in Cenozoic formation and Cenozoic basalt eruption. - Water in holes: existed in Cenozoic sediments with large distribution area and accounting for a large area of the region. The sediments are only interrupted by the remaining mountains in Ba Den, Trai Bi and partially in the Northeast. The average thickness is 100 - 150 m. The thickness increases gradually from the Northeast to Southwest and the maximum thickness reaches 300 - 320 m. - Water in cracks: Water is in Cenozoic formation and Cenozoic basalt eruption and distributed in the North, Northeast and the remaining in the South and Southwest is covered with the thick Cenozoic sediment. Due to the poor cracking degree and being filled, this form of existence is generally poor in water and is not meangingful for water supply. Therefore, underground water in Tay Ninh province is widely distributed and only interrupted by the remaining mountains of Ba Den, Trai Bi and a part in the Northeast. In general, the groundwater reserves is plentiful, especially in dry season, water reserves is still ensured with good quality to serve for domestic, agricultural production and industrial production demands. 3. Mineral natural resources 3.1. Peat The whole province has 8 regions planned for peat exploitation with the total area of 529.98 ha, distributed mainly on two banks of Vam Co Dong river. The planned peat reserves up to 2020: 3,912,580 m3. 3.2. Tile and brick clay The whole province has 13 areas planned for tile and brick clay exploitation with the total planning area of 346 ha, mainly concentrated in districts of Tan Chau, Tan Bien, Chau Thanh, Ben Cau, Duong Minh Chau The planned tile and brick clay reserves up to 2020: 12,424,871 m3. 3.3. Construction stone There are construction stone planning areas in Loc Trung (12.69 ha), Mo Cong (30 ha) and Doi 95 (77.5 ha) with the total reserves of more than 15 million m3. 3.4.Construction sand Including the sand locations along Vam Co Dong River, Sai gon River, Dau Tieng Lake and stream branches dumping to Dau Tieng Lake. In addition, there are Loc Trung sand mines (Duong Minh Chau District) put into reserves planning after 2020. The planned construction sand reserves up to 2020: 20,280,083 m3. 3.5.Backfilling material (backfilling soil) Backfilling material minerals (gravel, backfilling soil) are planned throughout the districts of the province and exploited to have special contribution to economic-social development of the province. The planned backfilling material reserves up to 2020: 87,097,002 m3. 3.6. Limestone Tay Ninh has the redundant reserves of limestone with good quality for producing cement which cannot be found in many other provinces/cities. In particular: + Limestone for cement production: 3 mines, the reserves B + C1 + C2: 69.36 million tons: resource P: 121.77 million tons (from the elevation of - 50 m, it is forecasted to have 805,632 million tons). + Cement clay: 05 mines, the reserves B + C1 + C2: 16.5 million tons; P: 67.13 million tons. + Cement additive: 6 mines, the forecasted reserves of 24.6 million tons. + Kaolin: 10 mines, the forecasted reserves of 20.43 million tons. The redundant reserves of limestone mentioned above has been exploited by Tay Ninh Cement Factory to produce such products as: Multi-purpose Fico cement PCB40, PCB50 etc. to supply for the domestic markets and export to the countries in the region. | | | Administrative Map | Administrative Map | Tin | | Administrative Map | /Style Library/LacViet/CMS2013/Images/newsdefault.jpg | | 01/01/2018 11:00 SA | No | Đã ban hành | | | |
